Sara Hodson Daly

Sara is a contemporary figurative painter who draws her inspiration from the landscape, rural life and equestrianism. Her oil paintings evolve from sketches and photographs taken on location which are developed further back in the studio. Her work often reflects the rhythms of the seasons and rejoices in a sense of place. Sara studied History and Art History at Plymouth University, followed by a MA in Irish Studies at Bath College in the UK. She moved to West Cork in the 1990’s where her mother’s family are originally from. She exhibits regularly and her work is in private and public collections worldwide. She is an elected full member of the UK Society of Equestrian Artists Sara has completed a number of notable commissions including a painting for HRH Sheik Hamdan Al Maktoum and a life-size resin horse sculpture for a public arts trail in Ireland.
